The Taiwan Study Tour organized by the Australian Institute of International Affairs(AIIA-Victoria) visited the Department of Taiwanese Literature on April 18,2024. Professor Fang-chih Yang and Assistant professor Bouchin Tan welcomed them on behalf of the Department, along with students from the Asian Popular Culture class. Yang and Tan presented a talk on "Taiwanese / Tâi-gí Literature as the Literature of Anti-colonialism: A Brief History" to the Australian friends. In the talk, they traced the historical development of Taiwanese / Tâi-gí Literature and its relationship with anti-colonialism in the Japanese and ROC-KMT colonial periods. Resistance to colonization through Taiwanese / Tâi-gí literature continues to this day, it also expands to other areas such as Tâi-gí music, particularly in the Indie music scene in Tainan.

澳洲國際事務協會維州分會 (Australian Institute of International Affairs, AIIA) 於2024年4月18日上午蒞臨本系，由楊芳枝教授及「亞洲流行文化」課程同學、陳慕真助理教授共同接待，本系老師以Taiwanese / Tâi-gí Literature as the Literature of Anti-colonialism:A Brief History為題，向AIIA來訪團介紹台語文學的歷史發展、台語文學、台語音樂及其反殖民精神。
