  1. About the program:

This program is conducted online with English as the major communication language in order to assist the participants to improve English and gain cross-cultural exchange and learning experiences. This program was initially launched by the Kanda Institute of Foreign Languages in Japan. At present, this program consists of students from 5 countries, including Thailand (Burapha university), Indonesia (Budi Luhur University), Korea (Soongsil University), Vietnam (Ha Noi University), and Japan (Kanda Institute of Foreign Languages). NCKU from Taiwan will join this program this year. Department of Taiwanese Literature is the host in Taiwan.

  1. Purpose of the program:

Students will make friends from the world and exchange with each other.

Students will have the chance to communicate in English with international studetns and teachers.

Students will learn more about culture of other contries without going abroad.

  1. Prospected participants:
    Students (both undergraduate or graduate) from any departments of NCKU. Taiwanese citizens or international students are all welcome. Basic English communication skills is requested.
  2. The number of participants:

Up to 20 students in each university. If participants exceed the number, it will be screened by the organizer NCKU.

Last 10 weeks, from April 19 to June 28, 2022. (May 3, 2022 is holiday)

  1. Time session:

every Tuesday, from 17:10 – 18:45 (Japan time; 16:10-17:45 Taiwan time)

  1. Method:

Students from different universities will be grouped, and each group will have about 20 students from 5-6 countries.

  1. Activities:

The 1st week: introducing person in charge of each university and the program.

The 2nd – 9th weeks: each group discuss 1 topic every week.

The 10th week: representative students of each group present their discussions.

  1. Person in charge, faculty:

Each group will have 1-2 teachers (teachers from Kanda Institute of Foreign Languages and other universities). Besides teachers from Kanda, teachers from Ha Noi University and Budi Luhur University will also engage in lecturing.

  1. 活動簡介：本活動係以網路視訊方式進行，以英語為主要溝通語言，讓參與者能夠練習英語並進行跨國文化交流與學習。最早由日本的神田外語學院發起，目前計有泰國、印尼、韓國、越南、日本等5國的大學生參與，包含：印尼Budi Luhur大學、韓國崇實大學、越南河內大學、泰國東方大學、日本神田外語學院。今年起擬擴大邀請成大學生加入。成大之主辦單位為台灣文學系。
  2. 計畫目的：
  • 學生可以認識國際學生並進行交流
  • 學生有與他國教師與學生用英語交談的機會
  • 學生不必出國即有學習各國文化的機會
  1. 徵募對象：

國立成功大學學生，大學部或研究所均可，不限國籍、系所。須具備英語基本溝通能力。

  1. 學生人數：

每間學校至多20位學生。若超過人數，將由主辦單位篩選。

  1. 費用：免費
  2. 活動時間：

共10周，自2022年4月19日起至6月28日（2022年5月3日為休假日）

  1. 交流時間：

每周二下午17:10 - 18:45（日本時間；台灣時間為16:10-17:45）

  1. 參與方式：

將各校學生集合分組，一組約20人共同討論，每組皆有指導老師及來自5~6個國家的學生

  1. 交流活動：           

第一周：介紹各校負責人與交流計畫，小組相見歡

第二至九周：各組每周討論一個主題      

第十周：各組代表學生上台發表主題討論 

  1. 負責人與師資：每一組有1~2位指導老師（神田外語學院當地教師及各校教師）除了神田外語學院的教師之外，亦有越南河內大學及印尼Budi Luhur大學教師參與教學
